Officers were called at around midnight on Wednesday morning to the 800 block of Irvington Street, where they were met by two men suffering from gunshot wounds, according to police.
Derrick Graham, 41, of Oxon Hill and a second victim were both rushed to area hospitals, where he died. The other victim remains in critical condition on Wednesday afternoon.
No information about the shooter has been released as the department continues to work on establishing a motive for the fatal incident.
The shooting remains under investigation.
